Being single can be defined as being alone: unmarried, not taken, apart from a couple, free of relationship. Many women are “single”, but if you’re completely single you’re not doing it right. As a woman of God not yoked with a man right now in life, I am single, but as a lover of Christ, I’m not. I’m taken by the King of my soul, Christ Jesus. Paul talks a little bit about this in his letter to the Corinth Church in 1 Corinthians, Chapter 7, verse 34. The MSG reads: “The time and energy that married people spend on caring for and nurturing each other, the unmarried can spend in becoming whole and holy instruments of God.” I can come before God in wholeness. My love is mine and I can give it ALL to Christ. I’m not pulled on by a husband right now. I don’t have children who, at times, may need my undivided attention. All I am, all I have, and all that I want right now is wrapped up in my Savior and I have the freedom to do just that! I’m not bound to marriage or motherhood. Like Paul said, now is the time I can use all my energy to better myself in Christ; become WHOLE in Him. I may not ever have this luxury again. Is marriage and a family a blessing? Of course! But right now, the biggest blessing I have is my singleness to the world, and my liberty to be consumed in Christ’s presence like never before! Today I encourage you to sit back and relish in the gift called singleness knowing that you have the freedom and liberty to give ALL you have to Jesus- be selfish with your time, commitment, and love right now as it pertains to your love life. Marriage and family is a great blessing, but you’ll miss this time, so enjoy it now😉. Wishing you nothing but lessons and blessings Family. Let me know if you need anything as always.
Thank you so much! I really needed this for the season I’m in. 🤗
