Running Dry

This week has been full and draining. Honestly, as I write this, I want nothing more than to sleep. I heard the Lord whisper to me, “It’s time.” I already knew what He meant. The type of week I had was full of attacks, revelation, restriction, self-checking, learning, rebuking, fasting, all things that would run anyone dry. I realized I just needed to spend time with my Heavenly Father, intimately, alone, for myself We have to remember how to overcome this draining, tiring feeling. The answer is simple: Jesus. I got on my laptop to keep the promise of posting on Sundays and Wednesdays, but Lord knows tonight I was just too tired. I fought to get here. As I wrap this up, I’m listening to This Love by House Fires. I’m almost moved to tears because I’m that tired. I just want to close my eyes, let the music minister to me, and drift away in His love. I’m going to pray, cry out, and ask for a filling. Next time you’re feeling empty, don’t pick up the phone and call him or her, not your boyfriend, best friend, mom, or dad. Instead, put everything away, put on some praise and worship music and talk to your Dad, Your Heavenly Father. He’s just waiting to pour His rest upon you. He loves you. Matthew 11:28 says “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Trust that in Him you’ll find all the rest you need. Love You and Lessons & Blessings Family.
