Hebrews 10:35-36 (KJV)
“Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
*Great Recompense= Great reward/pay back for a service, act, or in this case obedience and faithfulness.
Sometimes it’s hard to follow the will of God because we just, plainly put, aren’t “feeling it”. It makes us uncomfortable, maybe its not what we want or even how we want it. However, God has a recipe for being able to hold on even in these situations and even rewards you after you come through because He knows it was hard☝🏾
First: Be patient and confident in what you know. Whatever God is calling you to do or be, be patient in this thing, waiting in confidence because you know God will repay for such patience, diligence, and trust in Him. – “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.”
It’s a trade off: the promise comes to you when you finish the will of God and the only way you’ll do this when you’re not feeling it is by waiting in patience through confidence knowing God will honor you for it- that it will all be worth it. -“For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.“
Let’s Recap:
Problem: God is telling me to do something in my life but I plainly dont want to. It goes against my understanding and what I want. It’s not the way I want it.
Solution: Follow through in confidence, patience, and trust. God will honor your fight and obedience, this will be worth it, when it’s all over It would have been worth it! “I can’t see it now, but I trust God.”
